Happy Social Workers’ Day 2008!

We would like to extend our invitation:

Event: Social Workers' Day Dinner Party

Venue:Meritus Mandarin Singapore, Mandarin Ballroom 4th Floor South Tower

Date: Tuesday, 15 April 2008

Time: Cocktail at 7 p.m. & Dinner at 7.30 p.m.

Guest of Honour: President S. R. Nathan

Our day is celebrated in conjunction with International Federation of Social Workers’ (IFSW) World Social Work Day.

The dinner party will be a time to renew old friendships, possibly make new ones, and definitely to feel appreciated for the important role that you play as a social worker.

The setting will be a fitting one to confer the title of Fellow on President S. R. Nathan – to recognize his significant contribution to the social work profession and to society at large.

Theme

The twin themes of according recognition to social workers for the hard and significant work that they do and urging workers to care for themselves and each other, contribute to achieving our wish of “Keeping the Fire Ablaze” in the profession.

Our wish for the profession – that we will serve our clients because of our belief in the sanctity of human life, value of each person’s dignity and right to maximize their potential, and hope for a better world for all.
